How Wine Became Modern

One of my favorite museum exhibits that I have ever visited was "How Wine Became Modern: Design + Wine 1976 to Now" at the SF MOMA.  The exhibit consisted of tons of displays all about various aspects of wine and winemaking, from different glass shapes and label designs to samples of soil from all around the world.  Growing up 15 minutes away from wine country, I found this exhibit especially fascinating since I had been around wine and wine culture from a very young age.  Other cool parts of the exhibit were a huge chart of all the colors wine could be, blind smell test of scents often found in a wine's bouquet, and photographs from beautiful vineyards and wineries all over the world.  This exhibit definitely increased my appreciation for all of the elements that go into producing and selling wine and how various aspects have changed (or not) over the years.
