Week 5 - Museums - Edgar Heap of Birds

When I took Introduction to American Studies last semester, we were required to attend events outside of class, but still on campus. One of the events included a museum exhibit at the Pomona College Museum of Art called “Nuance of Sky.” Once I began to remember the event itself, I thought of how the artist, Edgar Heap of Birds depicted particular aspects of his identity through his artwork using the color blue. I just admired how the sensory elements (touch, smell, sight, sound, [maybe not taste]) really highlighted the Native American artwork.
